  • Very Happy With Our Stay

We traveled to Fairmont, WV for a half marathon in mid-November. We booked this hotel based on proximity to the race and based on the price. Based on the cost, we figured this would be your average side of the road hotel. We were wrong! We were both incredibly impressed with this hotel and look forward to staying here again next time we pass through.
The hotel's rooms are accessed from the outside and you can pull your vehicle right up. The property is very well lit and clean (good lighting is important in my opinion!). We had a room with one king bed and it was incredible. The room was immaculately clean. There were lots of pillows on the bed. There was a fridge, a microwave, and a really nice TV with cable. There was free wifi, as well. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. They happily accommodated a late checkout.
You can walk from the hotel to the Pokey Dot, a fun diner (we had a tasty and reasonably priced breakfast). There is an ice cream shop nearby, and a grocery store. The hotel had a bar upstairs with patio seating (which was not open when we there there, I'm assuming due to the time of year).
Definitely a very nice place to stay!

This is a lovely hotel in the older tradition - but it is definitely not old or run down! We like rooms that we can drive up to and park in front of and this motel has that convenience. There is a very uniquely decorated (in the style of a 19th century parlor or "house of pleasure" cozy and fun bar on the second floor with a deck which overlooks the pool. It would be a fun place to hang out on a summer evening. The room is not huge, but it had a table, chairs, TV and fridge with a place to put the suitcase. It felt inviting and spacious.
King size bed was comfy. Bath roomy and clean.
Kathleen at the desk amazed us with her knowledge of the area and her excellent directions. An added plus is her positive, friendly and helpful attitude. Just a delight!
There are lots of places to eat nearby.
A good stay while you are on the road. Highly recommended.
Room Tip: We like a first floor room with a door that opens right I front of our car. And that is what we got...
